Documentary films made in 2023, 2024 and 2025 can apply to the festival.
Films applying to the 2023 FilmAmed Documentary Film Festival cannot apply.
There is no subject or time limit for application.
All films that have a democratic attitude, respect the rights of women and children, do not have a perspective that alienates various religious, sexual and ethnic identities, and do not attack basic social struggle values will be evaluated.
The fact that the films have previously participated in festivals or received awards in these festivals is not an obstacle to application.
Each director can apply with more than one film.
Documentaries shot in all languages can apply to the festival.
It is mandatory for Kurdish and English subtitled formats or texts of films included in the festival selection but whose original language is not Kurdish to be sent with the film.
Before the festival program is declared, the applicant is informed via e-mail whether or not their film has been selected for the festival program.
After the applicant is informed that their film has been included in the festival program, the applicant who does not want their film to be included in the festival program must notify the festival committee of this request in writing via e-mail within 5 business days. Otherwise, the applicant does not have the right to withdraw their film from the festival after the festival program is declared to the public.
After all the applied films are evaluated by the preliminary jury, the festival selection is created.

Project Participation Conditions
The documentary project competition will be held among the works that have been prepared and designed. Films that have completed the production phase can also apply for post-production support within this scope.
The projects that will participate in the competition must be completely original. The applicant's declaration regarding the project ownership will be accepted as the basis. Legal problems that may arise regarding the project ownership belong to the applicant. If it is determined that the project is not original, belongs to someone else or is taken from another work, the awarded award will be taken back with legal interest.
Projects that do not have a democratic attitude, do not respect the rights of women and children, have a perspective that alienates various religious, sexual and ethnic identities, and attack basic social struggle values will not be evaluated.
Projects prepared by one or more people can participate in the competition. In case the project is supported, the financial support will be given to the person who applied. The Festival Committee is not responsible for the problems that may arise from the sharing of the financial support.
The projects participating in the competition are evaluated by a preliminary jury and a maximum of 10 projects will be selected to be evaluated by the main jury.
The owners of the projects that make it to the finals will present their projects to the project jury within the scope of the festival.
The projects of project owners who do not present their projects to the jury within the scope of the festival will not be evaluated.
After evaluating the project file and the presentation of the project owner, the festival jury decides to support a maximum of 3 projects from among these 10 projects that it finds worthy of support.
If the jury members do not find the project worthy of support, they have the right not to provide support.
The projects that are eligible to receive support will be declared at the closing ceremony of the festival.
Project supports consist of three categories: production support, post-production support and technical equipment support.
300 thousand TL production support will be provided to the project that receives production support.
250 thousand TL post-production support will be provided to the project that receives post-production support.
Technical equipment support will be provided for the project that will receive technical equipment support, and two weeks of technical equipment (visual equipment, sound equipment and lighting equipment) support will be provided.
Payments to the supported project will be made in 3 stages (excluding technical equipment support).
After the project owner receives the first payment, they submit the work report to the festival committee, the festival committee evaluates the work report, and then the next stage is moved on to.
If the project owner does not comply with the work schedule they submit to the festival committee, does not document valid reasons in their work reports and does not complete their project within the stipulated time, the amount of support paid will be taken back with legal interest.
When projects that receive support are completed, the opening credits of the film must include the phrase "Prepared with the contributions of the Filmamed Documentary Film Festival" along with the festival logo.
Similarly, the award-winning project must include the logo of the Filmamed Documentary Film Festival along with the logo of the Kayapınar Municipality and the Middle East Cinema Academy Association in the closing credits of the film.
The Kayapınar Municipality logo must be included on the film poster along with the festival logo.
Employees of the Middle East Cinema Academy Association and Kayapınar Municipality and their first-degree relatives cannot apply.
